INTRODUCTION
' I kill them, me I put them in the world ... Everything has already happened, as everything is inevitable' (Eur. Med ***)
Medea is a name that comes from far away ... The heroine lives in myth, differently interpreted and reinterpreted in the literary works of various authors (who are our sources from which we reconstruct the tradition of the story of Medea). We are in fifth century. BC, shortly after the performance of Euripides' Medea, who has' caused a sensation ', staging, probably for the first time, a terrible event linked to heroin: Medea killed her children! is unleashed a fervent debate about the version Euripides gives the story of Medea and the character of 'Infanticide' which is thus to take heroin. But it was always like this? It organized a 'process in Medea,' in which you are responsible for supporting the lawyers, as a group, the prosecution and the defense of Medea (each group is assigned one of the positions):
- Medea is guilty of murder children, Medea is guilty, with (few) attenuating (1): Medea has revenge on Jason, who has betrayed her;
- Medea is guilty, with (more) attenuating (2): Medea killed the children, to give them immortality;
- Medea is not guilty: he has acted incapable of discernment (the goddess Hera qumÕj)
- Medea is not guilty: he did not kill the children. If Medea is not guilty, then who is to blame?: A process to slander the city of Corinth.
- Medea is not guilty: the children are not dead, they're just been removed from Corinth.
